Representing Yourself Through Blog Design

If you've visited before, you're probably wondering what has happened to my cute little blog design.

While working on my new upcoming website, I decided to change the blog design as well. I wanted to go for something a little more minimal to match my web design. Ugh. I've ended up with something that looks like a commercial site. All will be fixed, but I might have to leave it like this for a little while so I can work out how to change it without losing all my settings.

My new design is kind of depressing :-(

  1. It does look a little bland but I agree that you have to have a theme that ties in with your website and blog and the rest.

  2. I just re-vamped my website not long ago and went through a transition period on my blog too. Once it was done I realized how much I enjoyed coming back to my blog again - I had outgrown the last image & hadn't realized it. I like your picture:)

  3. What's great is that you're in the process of changing, improving, adding things that confirm your professionalism as a writer.

I love the top portion of this page.

I also realize that my page needs to change and reflect more who I am. Hope I find the time soon.

  4. I do really like your header. It is a process to get your blog the way you want it. I'm in a re-vamp too. Guess it is that time of year--kind of like spring cleaning!

  5. It's good to change up the look now and then. I think the negatives are in the words that jump out at you "nothing" and "missing" and it looks like school work. Still, a clean look is good. You'll find the right combo.

  7. Thanks bloggers - you were all too kind to point out the typo I had in the header 'Mystery, fantasy and Andventure???' Way to show off my writing skills :-)
